What are the eligibility requirements?

The It Kicks! Foundation provides grants to nonprofits that focus on supporting youth development and educational opportunities for people of all ages. An organization must have been determined tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and received a permanent or advance I.R.S. Determination Letter that describes the agency as a publicly supported charity as defined in Sections 170 (b)(1)(A)(6) or (a)(6) to be eligible for a grant from the It Kicks! Foundation.

The Foundation serves communities within Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Applicants must be located within this region to qualify for assistance.

What does the Foundation typically fund?

The Foundation typically funds grants that go toward operating and program support, as well as occasional capital funding.

What is the funding range that most grants fall within?

While we will consider larger grants on an individual basis, typical awards range from $10,000 to $50,000. Capital grants are based on the scope and budget of the project.

How long between the submission of a proposal and a decision?

A decision will usually be made within three (3) months of submission, with the exceptions of July & August.

Will we be contacted if more information is needed?

Yes. Please include your contact email address of choice in your proposal.

Will an It Kicks! Foundation representative visit us if we are awarded a grant?

We welcome invitations to visit our partners and will either respond to an invitation or ask to schedule a visit, as time allows.

If our proposal is rejected, will we be able to reapply? If so, what is the time frame?

The It Kicks! Foundation accepts one proposal per organization each calendar year, regardless of whether the request is granted or denied.
