Grant Guidelines
An organization must have been determined tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and received a permanent or advance I.R.S. Determination Letter that describes the agency as a publicly supported charity as defined in Sections 170 (b)(1)(A)(6) or (a)(6).
Grants will be awarded within Greater Lawrence, the Merrimack Valley and areas in which Energy North is present.
No grants are made to individuals.
It Kicks! Foundation:
- will consider proposals for pilot or existing projects, renovations or new construction projects, program assessment and improvement, and a limited number of scholarships.
- will not consider more than one proposal per organization in the same calendar year.
- will not consider a proposal from an organization until a full report of a previous grant to the organization is submitted and approved.
- does not invest in “annual giving.”
Grants may be made to a 501(c)(3) organization on behalf of another organization lacking its own tax-exempt status.
